Shoes....oh the possibilities!

A wedding trend that I'm loving right now is a new freedom with shoes for brides. When I was looking for the perfect shoes to wear on my big day, I felt pretty obligated to get shoes that matched my dress (ivory or diamond white). I ended up buying two different pairs because I really hated the first ones when I tried them on with my dress. I wish I had thought to wear some brightly colored shoes instead! I am seeing a lot of brides choosing really fun shoes to wear with their beautiful dresses. No one will see them if your dress is long (which most wedding dresses are), so your ultra conservative great-aunt Betty won't feel scandalized. Plus, they make for absolutely beautiful and fun photos! The contrast between the white dress and the bright shoes is awesome, I think. Take a look at some of the beauties I found:

There really are no limits on the shoe possibilities! Just be careful about the height of your heel; you don't want your shoes to peek out from under your dress. And if you still feel inclined towards white or ivory shoes, think about choosing some with a little bling. A little sparkle will make you feel oh so glamorous.

Happy shoe shopping!

Confessions of a Wedding Junkie...

Well, it has finally happened. After many, many months of reading wedding blogs, perusing wedding pictures on Facebook, and generally obsessing over all things wedding, I have decided to start my own blog. I can admit I am a wedding junkie, and I know that by creating this blog I am feeding an addiction. But you know what? I'm okay with that. When I was planning my own dream wedding two years ago, I read every wedding magazine I could get my hands on, but I never thought to search for blogs that might have helped me with some of the details. Now, I cannot stop reading those blogs. I just love seeing all the beautiful pictures, flowers, dresses, food.....someone stop me, please (but don't really, because I really am addicted). I think weddings are wonderful occassions, and I want my blog to be a place where brides and other wedding junkies can get their fix. I plan to share all things wedding with the blog world. I am not picky when it comes to my addiction. I love all weddings. Church. Beach. Big. Small. Traditional. Funky. All colors, sizes and styles. So, if you find yourself in love with weddings as much as me, feel free to check back often for ideas, tips, and photos to ooh and aah over!
